I'll just keep having fun with it.

I do want to know though how does a writer get a character to e-mail them? You said back in a march posting you'd tell us someday.

I havn't read all the postings yet, so I don't know if you already answered this question or not.

Brandilyn, have a kilibunker New Year and God bless ya lady.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10583449.post-1135716213313415822005-12-27T12:43:00.000-08:002005-12-27T12:43:00.000-08:00Thanks for the many ways you have blessed us this ...Thanks for the many ways you have blessed us this year!

Many blessings to you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10583449.post-1135693354959495162005-12-27T06:22:00.000-08:002005-12-27T06:22:00.000-08:00Now that Christmas is over, and my mind is clearer...Now that Christmas is over, and my mind is clearer, it's time to think of ideas. Here are a few:

1. The Three Act Structure - why it works, what challenges it provides, and examples of it in movies and books. (This would be a good one for BG's to chime in on in the comments.)

2. How important are opening paragraphs/pages. Discuss published examples and then perhaps have BG's post their opening paragraph which can be discussed as well.

3. We love your stories, Brandilyn. Just about everyday things, too. That dentist visit sure came to life ... if you're up for telling us some more, I know I would enjoy them.

4. We could all read a particular book (that could be nominated by your or the BG's) and then we could discuss it.

5. Trends in the CBA. What's hot, what's not, and what you think about it.

6. Along the lines of your new marketing strategies for Violet Dawn, I'd be interested in hearing about why you think certain marketing strategies work (i.e. what's the most effective thing(s) a novelist can do to promote their book and why).

If I think of more, I'll post them.C.J. I see us all with our chin in our hands and elbows on the table, eagerly anticipating the next writing discussion. Hahah--surprise, surprise! You not only talk about how to write but you write the way we're to write. You hooked me completely with your cliff hangers during your NES. And you've explored writing topics with such a generous spirit. Thank you.

And yes, I too will cogitate some on topics for the new year and make some suggestions.

For now, may you have a worshipful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
