A memoir has to be true to be in...I have to agree. A memoir has to be true to be inspiring. Yes, you can change people's names to protect their privacy, etc., but the facts still remain the facts. I don't know if Frey's story would have gotten the attention it did without the lies, but that doesn't justify lying. I wonder what would happen if people who feel cheated started returning the books and asking for their money back.
