Sometimes all you can do is laugh and be grateful Christian fiction has grown so much. There are so many choices. But I did have to shake my head at the ones on Violet Dawn. Love that book, but it's not what I would call sweet :-)Cara Putmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08316731047954376226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10583449.post-49748681825141859262010-10-07T06:19:20.694-07:002010-10-07T06:19:20.694-07:00Rubart, you're a hoot!

I'd sure love to know who didn't think the writing was good!!!???

Everyone knows I'm one of the Big Honkin' Chicken Club members - lifetime award recipient, thank you. I was somehow goaded into reading Violet Dawn. The writing was top notch, as all your books are. Some can be so funny you can just shrug and move on.

One reviewer took it upon herself tp not only to give NIGHTSHADE a 2-star review, but she also created a VIDEO of her explaining the review and how my book is an example of why Christian fiction doesn't sell well. She then posted the video in several places. Still a little odd, because Exposure spoke quite clearly as to how God can help us deal with fear. Nevertheless, this is one example of just how different people's opinions can be about the same book. It's a refreshing change to see someone willing to share their bad reviews, not just the ones we snip and enter into our "blurb" files.

Most folks don't realize the intestinal fortitude required of an author to put their work product out there for everyone to judge.
