Yo, Merry Christmas

I e-mailed my book, Vain Empires, off to the publisher on Sunday. I've been rather brain dead since then.

I'd been too busy to think about Christmas until I jogged past G.G. and saw him in his Christmas red and green. "Yo!" he shouted, "tell those BGs I said Merry Christmas!"

I'm off to Idaho today for the Christmas season. Will be returning just before New Years. I'll be taking a blogging break during this time. (Unless there's a picture or two I just have to post.) It would be great to be taking a total break from work, but that's not to be. During the next two weeks I have to rewrite one book and plot another. Sheesh.

See you all in 2008!

Have a great Christmas break. I love to see how you work your projects. As soon as you send off one you're editing another and plotting a third. That is what I do too.

It is awesome to know that I'm doing things like Brandilyn!! :-)

Blessings.

It's good to see that GG is taking it easy. Hopefully he won't follow you to Idaho and derail any snowmobiles this year (not that you're likely to go near one again). However, judging from the outfit, it appears that GG might be a she. Of course, you never know about gorillas.
Have a glorious Christmas with your family.

My Christmas Break goals are modest - having reached the 1/3-through mark, I'm planning on being 2/3-through by the time the Spring semester begins in mid-January. So in about 4 weeks I need to complete around 100-150 pages. I'd like to have the entire draft completed by Spring Break but I have a funny feeling I'll still be working on this when graduation rolls around in May. Following a short break to let the novel 'cool off,' I'll conduct a thorough revision in summer (although I tend to revise in chunks as I go along, too). It feels ambitious to me - and yet it seems like such a leisurely pace compared to your schedule.

Grace and peace to you in this season of hope.
