The BHCC logo:
The logo will be available on a key chain, magnet, T-shirt and mouse pad. When my new web site goes live, you'll have opportunities to receive the various products for free through doing small marketing exchanges, such as linking to the BHCC page from your own site. The products will also be for sale. And once a month or so I'll give away a T-shirt.
When the new site goes up, I'll make an announcement.

totally fits the image I have of BHCC's - It would be fun to have a "warning" label for reviewers to use on reviews for your books.
What about an anti-BHCC logo for us suspense addicts? Or would it be opposite BHCC (don't want to come across like we're against BHCCs) :)
Sounds great, Darcie. What would it look like?
On the BHCC page, I will have my books listed with 1-3 chicken logos, with 3 meaning the most intense stories. Maybe the BHCC folks will try a 1. :)
BC, leave it to you to come up with this. I can see it now: "Publisher's Weekly gives this one two and a half chickens." Will your sponsor be Colonel Sanders?
Hilarious! My mom is totally an unofficial member of the BHCC, so I'll have to get her a T-shirt and get her official. :)
Hmmmmmm ... maybe you can use the same logo with the circle and slash through it for the anti-BHCC. Big Honkin' Chickens Club ... NOT!!
Too funny. :)
So funny! Not sure who to give a T-shirt to in my family—maybe my sis-in-law who was totally freaked out by the body in the hot tub. :)
Love it!
Oooh, It ALMOST makes me want to become a member of the BHCC! Be careful, you might have some converts...hehehe. Of course, then your next book would release and I'd cave and read it. Then I'd be officially blackballed, I guess...
Ah well...I'm sure I can find SOMEONE to get the T-shirt for! :)
I read AMBER MORN in one sitting...couldn't put the darn thing down. Not even to feed my poor neglected children. They had to raid their piggy banks and order their own pizza. Yeah, I know, I felt a tad of guilt over it. Just not enough to put the book down.
Looking forward to next year if you've got FIVE books coming out. Yep, I plan to read the YA ones, too! I'll save them for my 9 year old daughter for when she's older. Of course, she's already writing short stories like Kidnapped at the Beach and The three DEAD-kateers. SO...
Anyway, got a little long-winded. Am sure looking forward to what you come up with next!
Lynette, who just 2,000 words away from being DONE with A SILENT TERROR two months ahead of deadline...How cool is that?
Yeah, yeah, I had to tell someone cuz I'm excited.
Okay, now I'm procrastinating.
Lynette, you go, girl! That's awesome.
And thanks, everyone, for cheering on the logo. Pam, I like your idea of the red line drawn through it. :)
ROFLOL...I love your books, and I love the logo. Have you sent one to Robin?
Wow, a logo and accessories. Neat. But I'm not in the club. I guess I have friends that might be in it, but, um...well. I guess I'll sign up to be one of the red-liners. :)
Robin will be getting something, Bonnie, for sure. :)
If one chicken is your least intense and three chickens is your most intense, give me a call when you get to six chickens.
Many years ago, when I was knee high to an Indian, I learned that calling people chicken isn't a wise thing to do and people who do that sort of thing are usually trying to persuade someone to do something she shouldn't.
I had to check the date of your post Brandilyn. Thought it might have been an April Fool's hoax, lol...
LOL Julie...this group of hens are famous! It is truly for real :-)
Anonymous, you made me laugh. :) Thing is, I didn't invent the BHCC name. In other words, I'm not calling these folks "chicken." They call themselves that. I first heard the name of the club a number of years ago. Finally I'm getting around to giving these folks the credit they deserve.
Brandilyn, I found something that scares me more than one of your books -- the very nasty flu bug that has swept through Boise and almost every member of my family. Ugh! Anyway, I was laid low and am only now catching up with reading my favorite blogs. I love the logo!!! Made me smile.
Robin, VP BHCC
Hi Brandilyn,
Count me in. I am a big fan of your women's fiction and a member of your unofficial BHCC. I would love to help promote your other books, and the ratings idea is so funny!
Maybe you should get Chick-fil-A to sponsor the unveiling of your website. . .
Chick-fil-A HA!!! I love it!
Okay, I've been thinkin' how to create a logo for the anti-BHCC (suspense lovers) - how about the image of a fried chicken leg wearing a seat belt? OR, if you've ever seen that Travel Channel show "Bizarre Foods", there was an episode (Phillippines?) where the host ate deep-fried immature chickens. Not peeps, but between a peep and a BHC. How 'bout a fried BHC (fry the logo? :)
Darcie, well you're thinking all right. A fried leg wearing a seat belt? Hahahahahah....
Well, I knew we'd eventually make the big time!! ROFLOL!!!! I LOVE it. Yep - that's me. :D
I'll link up with that. LOL
Or what about the chicken + hatchet?
