The Big 52

Yup, that's me on my birthday--Sunday, Oct. 5. I am now officially accepting all forms of well-wishes--haiku, limericks, odes, mixed metaphors, wacky similes, or just plain "Happy 52nd birthday" if you're feeling brain dead.

Not feeling very creative, so I will just say have a very happy birthday, relax and enjoy your day. Thank you for blogging, and for writing such great books.

Blessings!

BC,
Is there a picture in your attic that's showing its age? Because you certainly aren't.
Happy, healthy, blessed, wonderful birthday!

A lovely lady named Brandilyn
Was serenaded by violin.
She leaped from her chair
Crying "How do you dare?
You know I prefer a mandolin!"

Okay, so it's early, and there aren't many words that rhyme with "Brandilyn." But however the birthday song is presented, I hope you enjoy the cheerful notes of celebration. Happiest of birthdays to you...and may God grant you a wonder-filled, God-kissed day!

Happy early Birthday, Brandilyn! I forgot your day is just one day ahead of mine! Although I'm a bit older. Won't say how much though LOL.

Enjoy your day!

Happy Birthday! Once, when I was trying to plan a whole surprise for a friend, with food, balloons, and posters I spent a lot of time slowly writing out the poster and coloring it. It was not until my friend came and glanced at the poster funny, did I realize I had written in HUGE letters "HAPPY BITHDAY!!!!" It was great and funny. I just did not see with such huge letters that I took such time with writing that I skipped one. *sigh* But this time it is right, biRthday. :)

Dear sister of mine
You’re still very fine
Tho age has a way of creeping
And before you can say
“Please keep aging at bay”
You may find yourself weeping

Dear sister of mine
Next comes the Medicare line
So seek out life’s grand meaning
Count each novel’s page
Even write a good one on age
Lil sis, happy birthday with feeling

Happy birthday, Brandilyn! I'm not brain dead -- really I'm not -- I've just temporarily lost all my brain cells to fiction. I guess my characters stole them. ; )

Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day (and year!) filled with blessings, creativity, books, and more ideas for killing off characters. Happy 52!

If you're feeling brain dead
Still it really must be said
When Brandilyn C. turns fifty-two
It's quite the occasion for much ado
Not to bid adieu to you (and you, and you, and you-oo)
But rather to say, in a jubilant way
May this day bring an array
Of well wishes and sweet dishes
Balloons and festoons
And all else that may add cheer
To your accomplishment of flourishing
Another year.

Bestselling suspense author found entangled, that is, strangled, in her birthday balloons. Fifty two balloons, to be exact. Several people, er, authors, have been brought in for questioning. They have been advised NOT to use this scenario in their next novels until the case has been solved. The hot tub has been drained for clues. We will update you at the 11:00 pm newscast.

Oh, Happy Birthday.

:D

There once was a gal with red hair,
She blogged and she wrote up a scare.
But then she saw fire, no one called her a liar, cause 52 candles were there!

Happy Birthday!

You'll probably get 52 comments this weekend. So here's mine.

One Original Ode

The reason for the birthday bash
Is clear, although the number we won't rehash
And the same for the congratulatory carnival
For we must make this sound believable

But as for the spirited and silly salute
Hopefully, you're thinking, "This is a hoot."
I thought you might've liked a courteous commemoration
But that might require a speaker and expected remuneration

So we'll leave it at this felicitous festival
And we'll try to appear rational and sensible
We know you'll have a remarkable remembrance
Possibly kick off the shoes for a little dance

Celebratory sentiments both skillful and silly
Send a song of cheer - however willy nilly
To let you know we all say, "Hurray!"
To the one who's celebrating her birthday.

Happy Birthday, Brandilyn!
