Giveaway: 48 Copies of Eyes of Elisha

UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed and the winners have been chosen. Thanks to all who participated!
----------------------

Two days ago on Facebook I asked for ideas of how to give these 48 books away. Friends responded with lots of great ideas. After reading all the comments, I decided on my plan.

First, a little more about these books. These are mass market paperbacks--my only novel to be published in this size. They are remnants from a special print offer for Eyes of Elisha. With the purchase of another book, buyers could pick up the mass market EOE for 99 cents. This was a one-time deal, and no more books like these will be printed. Call 'em collector's items. :)

Eyes of Elisha was my first suspense, published in 2001. It was a bestseller and remains one of my most popular titles. It features Chelsea Adams, who has the gift of visions. Which, uh, tend to get her in a little trouble. My second suspense featuring Chelsea is Dread Champion. Chelsea also comes back later to co-star with forensic artist Annie Kingston in Web of Lies, fourth and final in my Hidden Faces series.

The giveaway:

1. Twenty copies will be sent to folks who've never read a Brandilyn Collins novel. (Do such people really exist?) Do you have a friend or family member who loves suspense but has yet to discover my books? Leave a comment telling me your friend's name and why you want him/her to receive a copy.

2. Ten copies will be sent to church libraries. Would your church library be interested in this novel? Tell me the name of your church and why you think it would.

3. Ten copies will be sent to members of ten different book clubs. Do you think your book club would be interested in reading Eyes of Elisha? Tell me about your club, and why you think EOE would be a good fit. (By the way, I have discussion questions for EOE I can send you.)

4. Eight copies will be sent to people who promise to blog about their experience in reading the book (without giving away any twists!) Send me the URL of your blog and tell me why you'd like to receive a copy.

In each instance I'll choose recipients from the comments. In your comment please include your email address in this spelled-out form: name (at) server (dot) com.

Everybody got it? Have fun with your creative comments! Don't forget to leave your email address.

Hi Brandilyn,
I am posting this for my mom, she can't get the blog to pull up right on her computer.

So here goes:
I have a blog at www.mybookaddictionandmore.wordpress.com and I would love for her to write a review and post about this title. She has read you in the past and does enjoy your writing. I would also love to have you guest blog.

We also have a bookclub. I am part of 2 online bookclubs, one for romance only, and one for everything. And one in person bookclub, where we discuss all books.I'd love to be able to feature your book for any or all of these clubs. I love to offer Christian Fiction titles to people who may not otherwise be open to reading them. It's always great to see their look when they realize how great these books are.

As yet I have not read your books, while my mother has.

Thanks so much,
WendyK

Brandilyn,

I've never read one of your books. I did buy one last night at Books A Million.

My church, Grace Presbyterian Church, just opened a church library a couple of months ago. We are still adding books to our modest collection.

For a person who has never read one of your books, my 14yo son, Bernard. Because he likes to read but doesn't go out of his way to do it. Because he thinks it's cool when Mommy gets book packages in the mail, and it would be even cooler for him to get one. And because, whenever I've nudged--okay, shoved--him into reading a Christian fiction book, based on what I think he'll like, he's come away loving it.

Brandilyn,

Ooo maybe this is my chance! :) I, sadly, have never read one of your books but not for lack of want only out of naivety. My grandmother loves suspense and I'd like to introduce her to your books as well. That would be at least two readers for one book!

But... I would certainly love to write a blog post review. If you choose me as a book recipient feel free to choose which category is in more need.

Hi,

Thanks,

I vow to blog about the book without giving away the plot!

I'm trying to get into the habit of blogging; it's different. I wasn't the kid in school who kept journals or diaries; so, for me, I come up with cool things right as I'm drifting off to sleep and thinking I'll remember the next morning...I go to sleep..HA!

But since I vowed; you can believe it.

Wowzah, Brandilyn! Can I enter in more than one category? :)

I've yet to read one of your novels, having just discovered you. And I'm looking forward to my first Brandilyn Collins suspense!!! I was going to start with your first anyway, so....

I'm the chairman of our church library committee, and we totally redid our library this summer! We boxed up hundreds of out of date books and started from scratch. I'd love to have some Brandilyn Collins in my fiction section!!! (That was my section to stock, and I've got another bookcase to fill.)

One of our women's small groups (we call them SheCells) is a book club. I'm sure they would LOVE to read your book (AND have the discussion questions too!). Ok, this one isn't personal, but it's for my church. :)

I've started doing book reviews on my blog - A Work in Progress... I'd probably review it on my blog if I read it without winning, but you didn't hear that from me. ;)

My church is First Baptist McDonough. Our website is fbcmcdonough dot com. (I should add a library page, huh? I just thought of that.

Bless you, Brandilyn!!
Love
Cat

Count me OUT for option #1 - I've certainly read your books before :-.

On to all the other options - we have quite a nice collection of your books in church library and this would be a welcome addition.

Our church has just started a Christian fiction book club and whether or not it's one of the books we'll review, most of the participants are new to Christian fiction and are eager to experience a new author.

And, the last...well, I blog regularly about books I have read and reviewed.

All the way around - it's a win/win situation for you!

Good luck choosing - thank you for the opportunity~

Brandilyn,

I'm posting this for my mother, she has just gone through a stem cell transplant for cancer.

During her recovery in the hospital she actually started to read novels and not just self help books. Can you imagine... I've been writing for years and while she tells people about my books she's never read one.

I would like to win one of your books for her. In the hopes that maybe if she keep reading Christian novels, she may actually decide to read one of mine.

Thanks

Brandilyn,
I love your books and have read them so I don't qualify as someone who hasn't read your books. HOWEVER, our church is starting a brand new library!!! We are taking an unused room (it's been a junk room for the most part) and are turning it into a church library. We're starting from SCRATCH! No books, no shelves, only a vision: to offer wonderful quality Christian reading materials to the members of our church. We're a small sized Southern Baptist Church located in North Central Florida and would be honored if you'd consider us for a copy of Eyes of Elisha. If we're chosen you can reach me at DiamondLady47(at)gmail(dot)com

I would love a copy of Eyes of Elisha. I have already bought and given away multiple copies because I think the book is one of my all-time favorite christian fictions. I think a copy would be especially useful for our church library. We could use even use it as a creative tool for helping teach on the reality of God's spiritual gifts. Sometimes those gifts are hard to explain and Eyes of Elisha highlights that fact. Still, the book leads people to believe and trust in prayer. Ultimately we can experience the supernatural in today's world if we let God do His stuff.

Sincerely,

Hi Brandilyn,
I would love to read Eyes of Elisha and post about it on my blog page http://anniesdreamjournals.blogspot.com/ because the story fits perfectly with one of the blogs I'll be posting soon about Psychic Dreams. I have a very strong interest in the subject of psychic visions, as I've had many myself through-out the years (especially through my sleeping dreams.) It will be interesting to see what Elisha does with her gift in Eyes of Elisha because it can be a challenge to know the purpose of receiving such a gift & knowing what to do with it. You're one of my favorite authors and I look forward to reading Eyes of Elisha. My email address if baldwin.ann3@gmail.com

Dear Brandilyn:

As I have apparently been residing on Jupiter, I have never read one of your intriguing books. "How on earth could you have missed them?" you may ask. I was not on earth!

Since I am the pastor's wife of a small country church whose members may not have read one of your marvelous books either, I promise to pass it on after I've finished devouring it. When you've lived on Jupiter, you devour books one after the other.

On my blog, Audience of ONE, I love to recommend delightful books I've devoured and want others to discover.

Please include me in your generous giveaways.

Thank you,
Jen

I practically fainted when I saw 48 copies I thought surely I have a chance !!! But then saw I only qualify for the smallest drawing of them all :-( . I can't think of anyone in particular to suggest who hasn't read you. My church has no library I don't belong to any book clubs but by jingo I WILL BLOG !!!!
I used to blog every single day each day was a theme but I burned out so now I only blog rarely for something special and a Brandilyn Collins book certainly qualifies !

I promise I'll blog about it as soon as it arrives and I read it as I shall need to refresh my memory on the storyline, unfortunately the library in my town has almost no christian suspense ( nothing of yours ) and the only one of your books I own is Dark Pursuit.
I'll be blogging on my shoutlife blog the click-able link I'll add with my name and my email is

I've never read one of your books and if I were to receive one I would most certainly blog about it. I blog about all the books I read. I love to read. Thanks for the opportunity.
