Book Tidbits

This 'n' that info about my books:

1. The Hidden Faces series, featuring forensic artist Annie Kingston, will be re-released with new covers this summer. This is part of the marketing strategy by Zondervan leading up to the release of my first stand-alone, Vain Empires, on November 7.

2. Release date for my next novel, Amber Morn (fourth and final in the Kanner Lake series): March 7.

3. The first three books in the Kanner Lake series were dedicated to my three sisters, starting with the oldest. Can you guess the dedication for Amber Morn? (If you've seen an ARC, no fair giving away the secret.)

4. Crimson Eve saw its third printing in December.

5. Life has a way of keeping you humble, doesn't it? After Crimson Eve was named in Library Journal's "Best Books of 2007" list, as well as their naming it "Top Christian Suspense of the Year," I stumbled across a website run by a librarian who gives quick blurbs about the latest books her library receives. Her glowing words for Crimson Eve:

Wacky cover photo of the author with odd highlighting on the back. Something about an English estate agent having an assassin after her.

"Wacky photo?" Man, this librarian sure knows how to take a bite out of a gal.

I'm going to guess your Mom receives the dedication in book four. :-) Can't wait to read it, though it will be extremely hard to top Crimson Eve. That story rocked!

That's what I was going to say, Cara--book 4 will surely be dedicated to Mama Ruth. Looking forward to Amber Morn!

Mama Ruth was my first guess, but I kinda thought she would have had one before now. So how about your hubby?

And did I ever congratulate you on the Crimson Eve placement on Library Journal's best lists? I think it is your finest work to date and I'm thrilled for you that it is getting this kind of recognition. Apparently sales are keeping pace, which is also great news!

Now about the wacky librarian and her wacky comments ... Hahah!

LOL...I'm in for Mama Ruth too!

ROFLOL...it looks like this librarian must know you! Or she looked into those wild, sinister eyes and was truly afraid *snort-giggle*

We love you anyway! Congratulations on the rereleases. that is very cool!

Cara, you won't be disappointed. In my opinion, Amber Morn tops them all. Don't miss it! (See my early review on my blog: http://peggyblannphifer.blogspot.com )

And, Brandilyn, the ARC doesn't have the dedication page. *g* So, like the others, I'm going to guess Mama Ruth.
